Your Routine Might Be Simpler Than You Think
We surveyed 1,502 of our customers this year and asked what they wished was easier about looking after their skin.
We expected requests for more. More products. More options. More steps.
What we heard instead, over and over, was a request for less.
“Less products, who has the time to layer 4 products?”
“The fewer steps the better. Everything seems to be getting more complicated...”
“Have one routine with minimal products. The amount of products gets me overwhelmed.”
And honestly, we get it.
Skincare should make your life easier, not leave you standing in the bathroom wondering what goes first, what can be used together and whether you really need six different bottles.
The routine you’ll actually do is the one that matters
A long routine can look impressive on paper, but if it feels too hard to keep up with, it quickly becomes something you skip.
A simple routine is easier to repeat, and consistency is what gives your skin the best chance to benefit from the products you’re using.
When our customers told us what gets in the way, the answer wasn’t that they didn’t care about skincare.
It was time.
“Nothing that anyone else can give me... energy and time!”
“If I’m really tired or in a rush, I’ll tend not to do any skincare as I can’t be bothered doing all the products one at a time.”
That’s why we believe your routine should start with the essentials.
What a simple 3-step skincare routine looks like
Use a cleanser that suits your skin and leaves it feeling clean, comfortable and balanced.
Choose a moisturiser that supports what your skin actually needs, whether that’s hydration, calming, balancing or firming.
Finish your morning routine with sunscreen.
That’s a complete foundation for your routine. Not a “beginner” routine. Not a routine you need to graduate from. Just three steps you can actually stick to.
When an extra product earns its place
Once those basics feel automatic, that’s when you can consider adding something targeted.
Maybe your main focus is hydration. Maybe it’s brightness. Maybe it’s congestion, sensitivity or the appearance of fine lines.
The key is not adding everything at once.
Choose one product that makes sense for your skin, use it consistently and give yourself time to understand how it fits into your routine.
Why we’re telling you to use less
Because more products doesn’t always mean a better routine.
We’d rather help you build a small routine you understand, enjoy and actually use than fill your bathroom with products you’re not sure what to do with.
One of our customers put it perfectly:
“Consistency is better, not always something new to try.”
We couldn’t agree more.
One thing to do this week
Take a look at what’s actually sitting in your bathroom.
Which products do you use consistently?
Which ones do you understand?
Which ones do you genuinely enjoy using?
Start there. Your routine doesn’t need to be complicated to be worthwhile.
Not sure which three are right for you?
Take our Skin Quiz and we’ll help you build a simple routine around your skin, your concerns and the products you’ll actually use.
