Skin Sync isn’t your traditional foundation which means the way you apply it is a little different too.

Our Skin Sync Foundation is a cream-to-serum, colour-adapting formula available in four flexible shades: Daylight, Morning, Golden Hour and Sunset.

The secret to getting the most out of it? Warm it, blend it and give it time to Sync. 

Here’s exactly how we recommend applying it

1. Start with prepped skin

Like any foundation, Skin Sync loves a well-prepped base.

Apply your usual skincare and allow it to fully absorb before moving onto your makeup. 

Applying foundation while your skincare is still sitting on the surface can affect how your base applies and feels.

If you love using a primer, apply your Mineral Primer next and give that a moment to settle too.

Then you’re ready to Sync.

2. Start with a small amount

With Skin Sync, less is more.

Start with a small amount of product rather than applying a full layer straight away.

You can always go back and add a little more where you want it, but starting small gives you greater control over your finished look.

3. Warm and activate it with your fingers

This is the step you don't want to skip.

Skin Sync comes out of the tube looking white, that's completely normal.

Use your fingers to warm and activate the formula until the white begins to disappear and the pigment starts to develop.

The warmth of your fingers helps work the formula before it reaches your face, ready for blending.

4. Apply with your fingers, then blend

Once activated, apply Skin Sync to your face using your fingers.
Work the product across your complexion before gently blending everything together for an even finish.

You can then go back in with a little extra product anywhere you'd like more coverage.

5. Give Skin Sync time to Sync

This might be the most important part.

Don't judge your shade immediately after application.

Skin Sync continues to adapt and settle after you've blended it onto your skin. Allow approximately 20–30 minutes before deciding how you feel about your final shade and finish.

Do the rest of your makeup, get dressed, make your coffee — then come back and check your base.

6. Check your finished shade in natural light

Once Skin Sync has had time to settle, have a look at your complexion in natural daylight.

Look at your face alongside your neck and chest rather than focusing on your face alone.

This will give you a much better idea of how your finished shade works with your overall skin tone.

Your Skin Sync routine, simplified

If you remember nothing else, remember these four things:
PREP → WARM → BLEND → WAIT

Prep your skin.

Warm and activate the formula.

Blend in light layers.

Wait 20–30 minutes for it to settle.

A slightly different foundation calls for a slightly different application and once you know how to use it, Skin Sync becomes incredibly simple.

What if Skin Sync still isn't right for me?

That's okay too.

Every foundation gives a different finish, feel and level of coverage, and Skin Sync won't necessarily be everyone's perfect formula.
