How to get the most out of your Lust skincare products with Normal and Combination Skin
Hi Babes!
This is the last in our series of “Skin Types”, if you have been following along and felt that you didn’t fall into the categories of Dry or Oily Skin, you are one of the few in the categories of either Normal or Combination Skin.
Normal Skin
Normal Skin is classed as not too dry and not too oily. You will have few to no imperfections or sensitivity. Your pores are small to a point where they are barely visible, your complexion on a whole is radiant! Lucky girl!
Us skin therapists find that those of you with ‘normal’ skin, tend to get a little too lax with taking care good care of your skin. If you can relate to this, I strongly encourage you to get a skincare routine in place now, your future self will thank you for it (and by now, I mean at any age, it’s never too early or too late to start good skin care!).
Looking after your skin isn’t just about the immediate benefits, although well hydrated and plump skin is desirable at any stage! But, as you age, your skin will change, and the work you put in now can do nothing but benefit you later.
Unless you have any further skin concerns that your wanting to address, your routine is quite simple, so no excuses!!
Morning:
* Double Cleanse with Superfood Gel Cleanser to remove excess oil, dirt and bacteria from your face, neck and down onto your chest.
* Apply Hyaluronic Acid for ultimate skin hydration – HA binds up to 1000x its own weight in water, which helps your skin reach optimum hydration. Hydrated skin absorbs products better and works more efficiently.
* Apply Vitamin C Serum for added benefits of healing, brightening and lighting of the skin complexion.
* Apply Peptide Cream to hydrate, nourish and protect your skin with added anti-ageing benefits.
Night:
* Double Cleanse
* 2-3 nights per week add Vitamin C Exfoliating Crystals into your second cleanse. This removes the superficial layer of dead skin cells, exposing the brighter, plumper cells underneath.
* Apply Hyaluronic Acid – Allow to fully absorb.
* If you have any skin concerns, ie. Ageing, acne, dull skin, this is where you add in your serums or masks.
* * Apply Vitamin C Serum for added benefits of healing, brightening and lighting of the skin complexion
* Apply Rejuvenation Oil in a pressing motion. This oil has a high concentration of Vitamin A and C, encouraging cell production, restoring and smoothing fine lines and fighting free radicals. It leaves your skin looking and feeling A-MA-ZING!!
COMBINATION SKIN
Combination Skin is exactly as its name suggests, a combination of normal/dry and oily. You will find that throughout the day your T-Zone (Forehead, nose and chin) can become quite oily, the pores in this area will also be visible. However, your cheeks and the border of your hairline will be either normal as described above or tight and dry.
The secret to looking after your combination skin is to balance the oil production. If you strip your skin using products that are chemically harsh or too abrasive, the result is a higher oil production as your body tries to correct this ‘stripping’. On the other hand, if you are using overly nourishing products, it could lead to breakouts.
It can take a few weeks to see a true difference in your skin, so please don't lose hope or change routine after a few days. “Trust the process” as my gym trainer says!!
